Pack Trip &
 Cattle Drive

Let us show you the stunning beauty of the Canadian Rockies! Our most popular pack trip is a 3 day wilderness experience into the spectacular beauty of the Rocky Mountains surrounding Banff National Park.

This region of the Rockies is known for its wild horse herds, and it is where the bighorn sheep can be seen.  Fishing is also available as well as a chance for excellent pictures.  Experience the Canadian Rockies of Alberta the way you should; on horseback, where you can truly know the peace, quiet, and solitude.

On departure day, you and the other guests meet at our foothills ranch at 9:30AM, where you will be transferred by vehicle to our Lesseuer Creek Trail Head Camp.  There you will meet your guides and horses.

Horsback vacations for every taste are offered by Saddle Peak Trail Rides. After packing up, we'll mount up and have a leisurely 12 mile ride to Base Camp, with lunch served on the trail.

Our Base Camp is very comfortable, with complete wilderness cooking and dining facilities.  All your meals will be prepared by our trail cook, with the help of your guides.  Sleeping accomodations are in tall, expedition-style canvas wall tents.  We sleep on comfortable foamie sleeping pads, which we provide, and using a ground cloth and sleeping bag that you provide.

On the second day, we'll take a ride either to Black Rock or to Devil's Head Mountain.  There will be enough time for fishing, hiking, or just enjoying the scenery.

On the last day, after a hearty breakfast, we'll pack up and move out for our Trail Head Camp.  From there we'll transport you back to the ranch, where we'll say our goodbyes.
